Space & Court Display Guide

The Space Display (or Court Display) is a focused view dedicated to a single space (/r/[id]?space=[space_id]). Instead of showing all courts in the venue, it dedicates 100% of screen real estate to the current and upcoming matches for one specific court or room.

Why Use Space Displays?

In multi-court tournaments (badminton, squash, tennis, martial arts) or multi-track conferences, participants often crowd entrance screens to find out when their match is up.

Placing a tablet or TV outside Court 4 showing only Court 4's schedule solves crowding and lets players check their warm-up time at a glance.

Features & Visual Design

  • Ultra-Large Typography: Player names, court numbers, and match statuses are visible from 15+ feet away.
  • Current Match ("NOW") Banner: Prominent card displaying current competitors and match category.
  • On Deck ("NEXT") Card: Clearly shows the next pair of competitors to arrive at the court entrance.
  • Upcoming List: Displays 2–3 subsequent matches lined up for the court.

Setup Instructions for Court Tablets

  1. Obtain the Space URL:
    • In Controller → Output Links → Select target space (e.g. Court 1).
    • Copy the direct Space link or scan QR code with tablet.
  2. Mount Tablet Court-Side:
    • Position tablet on a tripod stand, table mount, or wall bracket near court entrance net.
  3. Lock Browser in Kiosk Mode:
    • Enable Guided Access on iPad or App Pinning on Android to prevent unauthorized navigation.
