Setting Up Displays on Smart TVs & Fire Sticks

Turn any commercial TV or HDMI monitor into a live-updating schedule signage board using built-in web browsers or low-cost media sticks.

  1. Connect Fire TV Stick to TV HDMI port and connect to venue Wi-Fi.
  2. Open Amazon Silk Browser from the Fire TV home screen.
  3. Enter your Main Display or Space URL (https://nownext.live/r/[event_id]).
  4. Click Menu button on Fire TV remote → Select Full Screen.
  5. Prevent Sleep Mode: Go to Fire TV Settings → Display & Sounds → Saver → Set Start Time to Never (or use a free kiosk app like Fully Kiosk Browser).

Method 2: Samsung Tizen & LG webOS Smart TVs

  1. Open the built-in Web Browser application on your Smart TV home menu.
  2. Navigate to your NowNext display URL.
  3. Tap the full-screen expansion icon in the top right corner of the browser navbar.
  4. Set TV Screen Sleep timer to OFF in TV System Settings to prevent energy saver turn-off during events.

Pro Tips for Venue Digital Signage

  • Bookmark the URL: Save the display URL to TV browser bookmarks so staff can launch signage with one click.
  • Power On Auto-Launch: Commercial TVs can be set to automatically open the last used browser tab upon powering on.
  • Use High-Contrast Mode: If TV displays under direct sunlight or bright hall lights, use Light Mode for maximum visibility.
