Getting Started with NowNext.live

NowNext.live is a real-time event, sports tournament, and conference schedule signage platform. It replaces manual whiteboards, paper schedules, and verbal announcements with live-updating digital displays broadcast across any internet-connected device.

What is NowNext.live?

NowNext.live keeps participants, players, spectators, and staff synchronized to the exact second. Whenever an organizer updates a match time, moves a speaker, or changes court assignments, all connected displays update instantly without requiring a page refresh.

  • Zero App Downloads: Runs directly in standard web browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Fire TV browser).
  • Multi-Screen Synchronization: Control dozens of court or room screens from a single phone, tablet, or laptop.
  • High-Visibility UI: High-contrast, easy-to-read "NOW" and "NEXT" schedule cards optimized for viewing across venue halls.

3-Step Setup Guide

Getting your venue or tournament running with digital signage takes under 3 minutes:

  1. Create an Event
    • Click Generate Event or launch a custom event room in your organizer dashboard.
    • Set your event name, define your spaces (e.g. Court 1, Court 2, Main Stage), and add your initial session schedule.
  2. Open the Controller Dashboard
    • Use the Controller interface on your phone or laptop to control match statuses, advance sessions, or adjust times in real time.
  3. Deploy Display Outputs
    • Open Output Links in the controller toolbar to copy URLs or generate QR codes.
    • Launch the Main Display on entrance Smart TVs, or dedicated Space/Court Displays on tablets positioned outside specific rooms/courts.

Core Concepts & Terminology

1. Spaces (Courts / Rooms / Stages)

  • A Space represents a physical location in your venue where activities happen concurrently (e.g. Court 1, Court 2, Seminar Room A, Main Stage).
  • Each space displays what is happening NOW (current active session) and what is coming NEXT (upcoming scheduled session).

2. Sessions & Matches

  • Sessions are individual schedule items (e.g. Match #101: Smith vs. Jones, Keynote Address: AI in Sports).
  • Sessions hold details including title, category/division, scheduled start time, duration, and status.

3. Controller vs. Display Outputs

  • Controller: The private organizer dashboard used to manage spaces, advance matches, edit titles, and monitor connected device counts.
  • Display Outputs: Read-only, real-time updated views opened on venue monitors, Smart TVs, tablets, or spectator smartphones.
